    Admission requirements

    L’accAdmission to the Master of Science in Food Engineering is subject to the evaluation of the candidate’s academic background by the admissions committee, in accordance with the provisions of the Study Programme’s Educational Rules.

    During the evaluation process, the committee reviews the candidate’s academic record and may require the completion of curricular integrations. In particular, students who need to strengthen their background in chemical engineering may be assigned the following courses as mandatory requirements:

    • Engineering Properties of Food – 5 ECTS (to be completed during the first year)
    • Food Packaging Materials – 5 ECTS (to be completed during the second year)

    These curricular integrations must be completed according to the procedures defined by the Admissions Committee.

    Application procedure

    To apply for the Master of Science in Food Engineering, candidates must:

    • hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification recognized as suitable (applications can also be submitted by students who are about to graduate, provided that the degree is obtained within the enrolment deadlines);
    • provide a certificate of English language proficiency, in accordance with Politecnico’s language requirements;
    • submit the application within the deadlines established by Politecnico.

    Admission is based on a formal evaluation of the application, carried out by the faculty members of the admissions committee. The evaluation considers several elements, including:

    • the candidate’s previous academic background;
    • the consistency of the preparation with the programme’s learning objectives;
    • any additional experiences, such as work experience, internships, study periods abroad, or extracurricular activities.
