The Food Engineer has a strong scientific and technical-application background, enabling him/her to face and solve the technological challenges of the modern food industry and its supply chain. Thanks to the solid and transversal training acquired during the master program, the food engineer can find employment mainly in:

  • The food industry: production, packaging, distribution and marketing;
  • Engineering companies that design, develop and implement processes and plants to support the food and beverages production, distribution and marketing;
  • Research centers and industrial laboratories;
  • Public administration technical structures and consultancy firms for the agri-food sector.

 

In these areas, the Food Engineer will be able to perform various roles, ranging from process and / or product development to the facility and equipment design for the food industry; from the production plant management to technological services management, plant maintenance along the entire agri-food chain; from the plants and processes control and optimization to quality production management; also in research and development.
